Chase Elliott might have endured a disappointing night at Darlington Raceway but the upcoming tracks favor him well.
Elliott went from a winning position to finishing 20th in the Cup playoffs opener. But there were a lot of positives to take for the No. 9 Chevrolet driver.
Looking to make his first Championship 4 in his short NASCAR career, Elliott will be more than happy to race in the upcoming tracks. NASCAR changed a number of tracks in the playoffs races. This changes will play in Elliott’s favor in helping his push to the Championship 4.

The elimination race of the first round, Bristol Motor Speedway, is one of the tracks where Elliott has posted a good record. In fact, Elliott won the 2020 All-Star Race at the track. Additionally, Martinsville Speedway, which will host the Round of 8 elimination race, is one of Elliot’s best tracks.
Series Standings leader Kevin Harvick has tipped Elliott for a good run in the upcoming races.
“This lines up well for Chase when you look at the race tracks. Obviously they run well here. He’s a very good road-course racer.
“He runs well at Bristol. … He runs well at Martinsville, too.”
Will Elliott finally break into the Championship 4 this season?
