The COVID-19 pandemic hit some NASCAR teams harder than others financially, and that was clear when it was reported and then ultimately announced that Leavine Family Racing (LFR) had sold its NASCAR Cup Series team.
Germain Racing has been backed by GEICO since 2009 Cup Series season and it’s now reported by Bob Pockrass that GEICO won’t sponsor any team in NASCAR and possibly other motorsports for the 2021 campaign.
