Austin Cindric was not happy with his run-in with Chase Briscoe at Daytona Road Course. He reacted by throwing a water bottle at Chase Briscoe’s car during a caution.
Cindric won the first stage of the race. For the second, he had a duel with then-leader Briscoe, of which he was not very happy about. So, he expressed his frustration by throwing a water bottle at Briscoe’s car.

After the race, Cindric said:
“That’s a double downer because I didn’t even make it to the window. Didn’t even execute on that,” Cindric said after the race. “It’s tough, I got pretty heated there. I probably should have reeled myself in. That’s probably the biggest thing I’m not very happy about with myself today. I let that get to me and obviously it showed.
“I’m very passionate about what I do, very passionate about driving. Its been a while since I’ve had a heart on my sleeve moment like that. Probably a good lesson for me halfway through the season to know that I’ve still got some work to do up here (points to his head) and that’s where it counts.
In the last six races, Cindric has won five and finished second in the one he didn’t win. The win ties him with Briscoe for most wins (five) in the 2020 Xfinity season.
