Former NASCAR driver and businessman Justin Marks have announced the making of his new team Trackhouse, According to the Sports Business Journal. The team is planning to launch for the 2021 NASCAR campaign.
The company is planning to be an organization focused on STEM education and marketing. Marks aim to use the Trackhouse brand to travel and serve minority and under-served students across the country and expose them to real-world STEM education in action.

“There is more and more pressure on corporations to invest in the community and to make investments in minority, under-represented communities along with energy sustainability, responsible governance, all those things,” Marks told SBJ. “So what we want to do with this race team is satisfy that need and create a meaningful platform where partnering with our team can be cause and impact marketing.”

Justin Marks told SBJ he is in talks to acquire a charter for the team, that his family foundation will use investment capital to fund 50% of the team’s budget and that a “nationwide family entertainment business” will be a sponsor.
Over his racing career, Marks has made over 70 starts across all three national series, with the most recent of which came in a Cup race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL in 2018.
One of Justin’s partners will be Ty Norris, a former executive at Michael Waltrip Racing.
