Kevin Harvick named Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch as the two contenders to challenge him for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Championship.
Speaking to Beyond the Flag about his biggest challengers, Stewart-Haas Racing’s driver said:
“I’ll go with Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin. When you’re racing with Denny and Kyle, you know you must be on your A-game. You want to race the best and those guys are two of the best. It’s enjoyable to race against competitive guys like that who are at the top of their game.”
The inclusion of Hamlin needs no further justification as he as the most wins (5) in the 2020 Cup Series.
On the other hand, another contender, as Harvick points out, has been winless in the 2020 season. This is not to say that Busch cannot compete for the 2020 champions. As things stand, he is set to feature for the playoffs, as he sits on 13th place in the NASCAR Cup Series Standings, 94 points above the playoffs cut-off line. The defending champion will surely have some tricks up his sleeve.
Busch getting the mention ahead of Brad Keselowski, who has 3 wins until now, from Harvick speaks volumes about the talent that he has.
