As a result of the last-lap crash in the Thursday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Kentucky Speedway, Justin Allgaier was transported to a local hospital.
The crash involved JR Motorsports Chevrolet of Justin Allgaier, MBM Motorsports Toyota of Timmy Hill and DGM Motorsports Chevrolet of Ronnie Bassett Jr. While Hill and Bassett Jr. were fine and “released from the infield care center”, Allgaier had to be “transported to the hospital for further evaluation”, according to NASCAR Xfinity official twitter account.
Allgaier’s JR Motorsports Chevrolet made a very contact with the outside wall after initially making contact with Bassett’s Chevrolet, which lifted his car off the ground.
UPDATE: The drivers of the Nos. 61 and 90 have been evaluated and released from the infield care center.
The driver of the No. 7 has been transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
