Driver Throw Shades At Goodyear After ‘Tire Failure’ Ruins Denny Hamlin Day At Brickyard 400

IndyCar driver Graham Rahal had a go at Goodyear tires after a tire problem ended Denny Hamlin chances of victory with just eight laps to go in the NASCAR Cup Series  Brickyard 400.

Hamlin was leading the race and faced tire problems with only 8 laps to go. Denny’s no. 11 car lost control and drifted into Turn 1 which made contact with the wall allowing Kevin Harvick to inherited the lead in the final restart and scored his third Indianapolis win.

Graham Rahal expressed his views on the incident and took a swipe at ‘Goodyear’ by stating that he’s glad that IndyCar doesn’t use their tires.

 “What a bummer for @dennyhamlin. All his race. I watch this and it just makes me so thankful to have @FirestoneRacing tires. Never have I personally entered a corner and worried about a tire blowing. Thank the lord!”

After the race, Goodyear tires posted a statement explaining the possible reasons for the tire failure.
