Bubba Wallace’s mother, Desiree Wallace, explained that her son has been targeted on a number of occasions in the past, with some telling him that he doesn’t belong in NASCAR.
Bubba Wallace has gone through a couple of incidents in the past month. He led the charge for NASCAR to ban the confederate flag, which not every fan is happy about. He is also vocal about the racial injustice in the country.
As the only African-American Cup Series driver, many people have tried to demotivate him, as per the driver’s mother.

In an interview on The Joe Madison Show, Desiree said:
“He’s been involved with incidents on the track. If he gets into it with another driver they’re quick to throw out the n-word. He’s been told he doesn’t belong here. We’ve been through all that.”
It was believed that someone left a noose in Bubba Wallace’s garage. However, investigations concluded that the noose was there for a year and was not targeted at Wallace.
Guess he should have identified as white.
