NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway was postponed due to weather conditions. And, as per weather reports, the race could be delayed further.

Scheduled to take place yesterday, the NASCAR Cup Series races at Talladega Superspeedway was suspended as rain poured in. Furthermore, without any lights at the race tracks, it became sure that the race couldn’t have taken place without having to stop it at some point before completing the total 188-lap race.

We have already seen races being postponed due to bad weather conditions. The postponement of the race at Talladega Superspeedway was the 7th race to be postponed due to rain this year.

However, matters don’t end here. There is a possibility that the race might not even go through today.

The Weather Channel reports a 60% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms, and a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms this evening.

Furthermore, things are complicated by the fact that the Superspeedway don’t have lights which make it necessary for the race to be complete when there is enough natural light.
