NASCAR Cup Series is coming to Nashville, Tennessee in 2021. This will mark the end of decade-long absence from the track.
Owned by Dover Motorsports, Inc., Nashville Superspeedway in Wilson County will include a Cup Series race in 2021, according to Dover Motorsports.
According to Dover Motorsports Chief Operating Officer Mike Tatoian, June 20, 2021, is the expected date, although the date is subject to change.

Denis McGlynn, president & CEO of Dover Motorsports, Inc said in a statement:
“When we built Nashville Superspeedway in 2001 our goal was to one day secure a NASCAR Cup Series race for the venue. While we have been in discussions with NASCAR for some time about the possibility of bringing the NASCAR Cup Series back to Nashville Superspeedway, plans really just became solidified in recent weeks.”
Nashville Superspeedway used to host Xfinity and Truck series from 2001 until 2011.
