Motorsport reporter for Sports Business Journal Adam Stern wrote revealed that as per sources NASCAR is considering the option of allowing a limited number of fans in the stands at either or both Homestead-Miami and Talladega.
The news is contrary to NASCAR’s previous information which stated that no fans will be allowed at least until the June 21 races.
Writing on his Twitter account, the journalist said:
NASCAR is evaluating allowing fans back at its races as soon as later this month, possibly at Homestead-Miami and/or Talladega, per sources.
Heavy minus sign This would be reduced capacity, only in places where local rules now allow it, and the decision is still being studied/not yet final.
While NASCAR hasn’t officially confirmed the news, but it will be a major step from NASCAR to bring fans in the stands after the racing resumed on May 18 after two-month hiatus.

It is fair to say that with the pandemic still looming around the fans will be in a limited capacity. And as NASCAR president Steve Phelps said that NASCAR will only resume “sometime in the near future” when they are sure “that we have the same protocols and make sure everyone is safe from a fan standpoint”, maybe they have figured it out sooner than later.
