Going into the Food City 500 race at Bristol Motor Speedway, Kevin Harvick had an eight-game streak for a top-10 finish. However, he could only finish 11 in the race, bringing the streak to an end.
The driver of the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford is the only driver to have finished in the top 10 for the first 8 races in the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series. He also has 5 top-five finishes to his name and leads the standings with 370 points ahead of second-placed Joey Logano, who has 346 points. Harvick has a win to his name, The Real Heroes 500 at the Darlington Raceway.
“I’ll certainly take the blame.”- Chase Elliott on his accident with Joey Logano
However, Kevin Harvick couldn’t break into the top 10 to continue his streak. Still, it is a remarkable feat for the 44-year-old driver, who has the joint-most top-5 finishes with Kyle Busch.
Next up for NASCAR Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on June 8.
