It looked like as if NASCAR had finally overcome all the obstacles to race again at Darlington on Sunday. After all, NASCAR was back in action after 10 weeks since its last race at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, March 8.
However, weather created a new hurdle for NASCAR to be able to stick to its proposed schedule. With weather forecasts reporting heavy rainfall and thunderbolts on NASCAR’s proposed time on Tuesday and Wednesday, they have been forced to make changes to their schedule.
Originally scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, NASCAR decided to move up the time for Toyota 500 at Darlington to 6 p.m. ET.
The upcoming race at Darlington will only be NASCAR’s sixth race in the Cup series. It will also mark to be the first race since 1984 to be held on Wednesday.
