As Chip Ganassi Racing fired Kyle Larson, there are talks about who will replace him in the coming future. As for now, the #42 Chevrolet that he drove is without a driver.
Last Sunday, Larson used the N-word while competing in a virtual NASCAR race on iRacing at Autodromo Nazionale Monza. So, Chip Ganassi Racing suspended him without pay and NASCAR also suspended him indefinitely until he at least completes sensitivity training.

However, as major primary sponsors, Credit One Bank and McDonald, cancelled their relationship with Larson and Chevrolet suspended their relationship with him too, Chip Ganassi Racing decided to fire him.
