Many drivers are destined to become free agents after the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. Because of this, there are notable potentially open rides for 2021.
Starting at now, evaluating the game’s best five groups (Joe Gibbs Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Team Penske and Chip Ganassi Racing), there are 17 drivers under agreement for the 2020 season, of whom 16 drove for these teams in 2019.
But, among these drives, only nine drivers have been confirmed for the 2021 season.
