Atlanta Motor Speedway to take preventive measures against coronavirus

With fan gearing up for the  Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend, the threat of coronavirus is as big as ever. So, as the event draws nearer, the track officials are preparing themselves to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

According to the Atlanta Motor Speedway vice president of marketing and promotion, Dustin Bixby, one of the measures that they will be taking is to distribute hand sanitizers and setting up hand washing stations in the facility to protect the attendees from coronavirus. 

“We’ve been in contact with Henry County Emergency Management Agency and we’re following their lead,” he said. “We’re encouraging people — just like you would with the flu or the cold — to wash your hands. We’re encouraging prevention, not to panic and to practice good hygiene…. We want to provide everybody an opportunity to have some fun but to do it in a safe [way] while enjoying our event.”
